Middle School Outdoor Education
Overview
The Foundation for Excellence provides funds to help pay transportation costs for seventh grade students to attend outdoor education at Camp Duncan. The outdoor field trip experience provides students with something that cannot be replicated in the classroom.
Students take what they have learned about biomes, habitats and plant life and use that knowledge in a real setting. Seventh graders apply concepts learned in the classroom in a place where those facts and ideas come to life: outdoor education at Camp Duncan.
The Foundation is committed to enhancing and enriching the educational experiences available to District 202 students. Providing funds to help defray part of the cost of the outdoor education program is one way the Foundation makes a significant contribution to the quality of education for middle school students.
