This week, we celebrate our incredible assistant principals who provide unwavering dedication and exceptional service to our school district.

Home Access Center will be down today (4/1/25) for scheduled maintenance.

Plainfield Academy students in the vocational education class & Post Secondary Transition and Education Program (P-STEP) worked hard for months to create a sleeping mat for the homeless.
The sleeping mat was made from plarn, which is yarn created from recycled plastic shopping bags.
It takes more than 700 plastic bags to make one sleeping mat.
Students started making the mat in October 2024.
“Through this experience, students gained a first-hand understanding of the dedication required - recognizing that something as simple as making a sleeping mat demands consistency, patience, teamwork, and a strong work ethic,” Plainfield Academy teacher Heidi Beiler said. “More importantly, they learned that each of us has the ability to make a difference in the lives of others.”
The service-learning project was a team effort.
Students created the mat using a large loom, which was built by Plainfield Academy teacher Jeni Hennegan.
PA teacher Barbara Kledzik donated her classroom space and vital crocheting advice.
Students and staff donated the plastic shopping bags.
Students are now making their second mat.
