The Chief John Eichelberger Public Safety Scholarship is given by the Plainfield Fire Department. Chief Eichelberger retired in 2015 after 40 years of dedicated service to the Department.
The Chief John Eichelberger Public Safety Scholarship will award $1,000 scholarships to four students from the Plainfield Fire Protection District.
Recipients will be chosen based on grades; financial need; and acceptance and proof of full time enrollment at an acceptable institution (see university/college criteria below).
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient at the recipient's Senior Honors Night ceremony.
Applicants Must:
Write a personal statement of at least 500 words describing yourself, and your interest in the Fire Service, Public Safety, Medical or Emergency Services. Include your professional goals and a description of your financial needs.
