As a Student Services Department secretary at Plainfield High School, Karen Hamilton always put the needs of students above all. That attitude is still evident in Karen’s life today as she volunteers in the Plainfield community and takes exceptional care to look after the less fortunate.  Since 1993, she has spearheaded the Needy Family Drive that provides families with a meal and gifts during the Christmas season, making sure that each family member’s needs are considered in soliciting donations from the community.  Even after her retirement she has continued to lead this worthwhile cause.   Karen is also very active with the Lions Club and the Plainfield High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
